Applicability criteria tell the validator which generator capabilities your billing data covers, such as regions, availability zones, multi-account billing, and tagging. Toggle off any capabilities your billing source does not support so the validator skips rules that do not apply to your dataset.

How to use this validator

Pick the FOCUS specification version your dataset targets (1.2 or 1.3).
Choose the dataset type you are validating (Cost and Usage, or Contract Commitment).
Toggle the applicability criteria to match the capabilities your billing source supports. Rules tied to capabilities you do not support will be skipped.
Upload your file in CSV or Parquet format (10MB maximum). Files are processed in memory and not retained after the validation completes.
Click Validate. Results show pass/fail for each rule; toggle "Show violations" to see the specific rows and columns that failed.
